For the thirtieth consecutive 12 months, the households of lacking and murdered girls, group members and supporters will collect in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside to march of their honour.
The annual Girls’s Memorial March has been held in since 1992, when group members gathered to mark the homicide of a girl on Powell Avenue.
“Out of this sense of hopelessness and anger got here an annual march on Valentine’s Day to specific compassion, group and caring for all girls in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside, unceded Coast Salish Territories,” in line with organizers.
