A Saskatoon police canine who was stabbed within the line of responsibility is again on the job.
PSD Oliver was injured on Feb. 3 when he was stabbed a number of occasions with a knife whereas serving to apprehend a suspect.
Oliver suffered critical however non-life-threatening accidents within the incident, police mentioned.
He underwent surgical procedure on the Western College of Veterinary Medicine on the University of Saskatchewan.
On Monday, Saskatoon police tweeted Oliver “is recovering properly” and has returned to work.
Police mentioned the suspect in Oliver’s stabbing is charged underneath part 445 of the Felony Code. Also referred to as Quanto’s Legislation, it prohibits the killing or wounding of animals who’re skilled and getting used to assist regulation enforcement officers.
